We all know that Ayurveda is one of the oldest form of medicine known to man. There could be others too, and the research in this area will keep going on but what is important to understand is that in such stressful times, this is one extraordinary science that is helping people heal. This ancient science stretches back to some 5,000 to 7,000 years as per the shastras and evidences, this science even the modern day and age continues to wield significant influence, both as a standalone form of medicine and as a complimentary therapy to modern medicine.

A lot of my patients come to me after many unsuccessful attempts and hit and try of various other medicinal practices. Usually it is for a reason, and the reason is quite simple – they want to go for something natural with minimal side affects. Well, Ayurveda is much more than that and it is a myth when people say that natural is the best and works wonders. The science of Ayurveda is not just about natural healing, it is also about practicing holistic lifestyle. This science has many dos and donts unlike others, and when the treatment for any ailment is on, the patients are expected to practice strict discipline.
In this pandemic period, I know that a lot of people now have become skeptical of chemical-based treatments. Yes, nature to a large extent is soothing and highly effective in terms of ingredients for treatments. Ayurvedic medicines are primarily derived from natural sources, with no artificial ingredients , and therefore, the inclination towards this form of healing is natural.
